Art Riggs Publishes a multi-part article in Massage and Bodywork Magazine
"Deep Tissue Massage"
This month Massage and Bodywork Magazine is featuring Art Riggs, our Deep Tissue Instructor, in an article entitled "Deep Tissue Massage". In the article Art discusses the tools available to therapeutic and relaxation based massage therapists from the realm of deep tissue. "Deep Tissue Massage is becoming increasingly popular, and training in these skills is often a prerequisite for work in spas or in a medical setting. However, the tools of deep tissue massage and myofascial release are perfectly applicable to gentle and relaxation based massage and not the sole domain of structural or highly-refined specialty therapies", says Art in the opening pages of the article. It is, after all, important to remember that we can work smarter as opposed to working harder, no matter what the intention of the massage at hand.
The publishing of this article adds to a growing list of credits to Art's name. Aside from his own book, "Deep Tissue: A visual Guide to Techniques" and his many hours of instructional videos and DVDs, "Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release", Art is also spreading his work internationally in person with frequent trips to other countries to bring them the knowledge and experience that he has gained with his work.
